The Shiseido cosmetics Ginza store in Ginza, Tokyo, opened after being redesigned. As the flagship store of Shiseido Japan, this four storey building provides diversified needs, not only for the sales of beauty products, but also for various beauty, modeling and makeup services. The interior design was jointly completed by Oki Sato Nendo, the director of Japanese architectural practice design, and Keita Aono, the designer.
The facade of the whole building is decorated with glass curtain wall and oak board, with a full sense of sequence. In the lower part of the curtain wall and the curtain walls on the first and second floors, there are devices with Camellia patterns decorated indoors, which are very rhythmic through the lighting.
The window design takes trees as the theme. The opening of trees symbolizes the rebirth of life. The symbol of Shiseido is camellia, implying that life is evergreen.
The first floor is defined as "beauty square" to meet different needs, not only in cosmetics sales, beauty and beauty services.
The designer designed the black floor. The camellia pattern echoes from the top to the ground, forming a sense of spatial unity and creating dignified and charming details.
The mirror image fragment of the ceiling is a combination of light-emitting film illumination, and the shadow on the top is projected by the light below to form a camellia pattern. Such patterns also change with the movement of air in the room.
The wall of the service desk is covered with a layer of clear glass after imitating the texture paint of cotton wool. The contrast with the black ceiling and floor is particularly strong under the reflection of the linear light.
On the other side, the display shelves designed with Camellia patterns are filled with cosmetics, and the products are mapped through large-area luminous LED flat panels.
The stairs are illuminated by embedded aluminum trough light strips. The beauty square on the second floor is displayed in a matrix, including bright decorated cosmetics and perfume tables embedded in the space from the wooden floor to the ceiling.
Oak slats are from the top to the wall and from the floor to the floor, and the embedded aluminum trough light belt sets off the black exhibition frame. The details of luminous LED flat panels are made of double-layer perforated plates with Camellia patterns.
The black furniture on the right can be combined into a black cube. The shape of the customized small chandelier is from the rotating Camellia pattern.
The beauty boost Bar & photo studio on the third floor also includes photography services in the studio, beauty lessons in private rooms, beauty research meetings, etc. the environment is particularly elegant, and the guests immediately feel that this is a place that can truly become beautiful.
The illuminated makeup mirror is set against the white gauze curtain with Camellia patterns. The hidden lights from the ceiling to the floor, and the embedded strip lights render the space with a soft light feeling.
The flower shaped mirror wall in the corridor, and the concave space is the waiting area designed by zones ▼
